Consigning to the Heritage Memo Program
Heritage possesses the largest customer list of serious coin buyers and the Internet's most popular commercial rare coin site, and is perhaps the most trusted seller of choice numismatic properties in the world. Many of America's leading dealers regularly consign extensive portions of their inventories to Heritage, with excellent success. Now you can, too. Please read the terms below, then submit a list of coins you are interested in selling. We will contact you promptly.

Outline of the Heritage Memo Coins Agreement

Minimum value: $1,000 per coin, note, or other numismatic item (hereafter "coin"). Due to the handling costs involved, we prefer to purchase less expensive items outright.
Cash advances of up to 50% of the consigned value of all memo coins accepted by us are available immediately, or throughout the term of this Agreement, for 1% per month interest (with a 1% prepayment fee if you borrow funds for less than 30 days).
You are consigning each of your coins to Heritage at a fixed price, which is the total price you will receive if that coin is sold.
We will select only those coins that we think have a reasonable chance to sell, and return the rest to you within two business days. Any coins we retain qualify for a cash advance of up to 50% of the memo price at your option and request.
Heritage will generally offer your coins on the following venues in the following order and at the following terms:
1. Our Website and retail inventory for approximately 11-18 days (listed mark-up about 19.88% over your memo price to us - MyWantlist™ clients will be notified automatically as applicable)
2. One Exclusively Internet™ auction for 7 days (reserve price including the Buyer's Premium: about 5.45% over your memo price - MyWantlist™ clients notified again, automatically as applicable)
3. One eBay or Yahoo auction, usually for 7 days (reserve price about 11% over your memo price)
4. Re-listed on our Website, dealer Fax lists, and coin shows if any (our wholesale asking price is about 11% over your memo price. We will accept any dealer counter-offers that allow us to make 5%, and unless you request otherwise, we will also notify you of offers below that level that we deem reasonable.)
5. If you so choose, you may then consign any unsold coins to one of our Signature or Bullet auctions at a drastically reduced commission rate.
All coins will be imaged on our Website and in our Exclusively Internet™, eBay and Yahoo auctions. For any coins that are subsequently returned to you, you may reuse the images and any descriptions at no charge.
You will be paid on the second Wednesday after we get paid and any customer return privilege expires.
We do not recommend this program for unusually ugly or otherwise defective coins. It is especially recommended for attractive coins and currency in demand by collectors.
We will never counter-offer your price unless a lower price is necessary to make the sale. Internet clients (and dealers) tend to be price-sensitive buyers, so we recommend that you price your coins as realistically as possible.
